Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of complex synthetic pathways for novel drug candidates.
- Analyze preclinical trial data to determine efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic profiles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory affairs and clinical operations, to ensure milestone achievement.
- Mentor junior research staff and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Present research findings to executive leadership and external stakeholders at industry conferences.
- Oversee lab safety protocols and maintain rigorous compliance with FDA and GLP standards.
- Optimize laboratory workflows to increase productivity and reduce time-to-market for therapeutic assets.
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral experience in a pharmaceutical R&D setting.
- Deep technical proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, NMR, and Mass Spectrometry.
- Proven track record of managing drug development projects from discovery through to IND filing.
- Expertise in regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical research (FDA/EMA guidelines).
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performance scientific teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
