Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of preclinical drug discovery studies for novel therapeutic targets
- Develop and optimize high-throughput screening assays using advanced automation platforms
- Analyze complex molecular and cellular data using bioinformatics and statistical modeling
- Collaborate with CMC teams to ensure scalable compound synthesis and formulation
- Present research findings to internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to lab safety protocols
- Secure external funding through grant applications and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or related pharmaceutical science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in target validation and lead optimization for CNS/oncology therapeutics
- Proficiency in CRISPR, primary cell culture, and in vivo disease models
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Nature Medicine, JCI)
- FDA/EMA regulatory compliance experience in IND-enabling studies
- Demonstrated project management skills with budget oversight
- Excellent written communication for regulatory documentation
- Experience with AI-assisted drug discovery platforms preferred
