Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex pharmaceutical research experiments including compound synthesis, in vitro assays, and pharmacokinetic studies
- Develop and optimize analytical methods using HPLC, LC-MS, and other advanced instrumentation
- Analyze and interpret scientific data to support drug development pipeline decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medicinal chemists, toxicologists, and regulatory affairs specialists
- Prepare comprehensive study reports and present findings to senior leadership and regulatory bodies
- Maintain strict compliance with FDA regulations, GMP standards, and ICH guidelines
- Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in pharmaceutical research
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, or related life science field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in drug discovery and development from lead optimization to IND-enabling studies
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques, cell-based assays, and in vivo pharmacology models
- Strong proficiency with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR) and data analysis software
- Demonstrated success in publishing peer-reviewed research and presenting at scientific conferences
- Thorough understanding of regulatory pathways and clinical trial design principles
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
