Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of complex experimental protocols for small molecule drug discovery.
- Analyze multi-omic datasets to identify novel therapeutic targets within oncology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacology and medicinal chemistry, to advance lead candidates.
- Document research findings in comprehensive technical reports and present data to executive leadership.
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence and rigorous peer review.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with FDA and internal GLP/GMP standards.
- Evaluate emerging industry technologies to maintain the department's competitive edge.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related pharmaceutical science.
- Minimum 5+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience in drug discovery.
- Proven expertise in high-throughput screening and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technologies.
- Strong publication record in high-impact peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis software such as GraphPad Prism, R, or Python.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor high-performing scientific teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration.
