Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of reservoir simulation models to forecast field performance and optimize production strategies.
- Develop and implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods to maximize recovery efficiency and extend field life.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with drilling, completions, and geoscience teams to ensure integrated field development plans.
- Analyze complex geological and engineering data to identify opportunities for production optimization and cost reduction.
- Present technical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholder committees.
- Oversee junior engineers and provide mentorship regarding best practices in reservoir engineering and data analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in upstream oil & gas operations, with a focus on reservoir engineering.
- Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, or tNavigator).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
