Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling programs for unconventional reservoirs using advanced simulation software
- Lead reservoir characterization studies integrating geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data
- Develop production forecasting models and economic analysis for field development plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including geoscientists, drilling engineers, and operations staff
- Implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques to maximize field productivity
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and industry best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of upstream oil and gas experience with reservoir engineering focus
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Nexus, Petrel)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production optimization and economic modeling
- Proven track record of leading field development projects from concept to execution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for Texas licensure
- Deep understanding of unconventional resources (shale gas, tight oil)
