Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models for unconventional shale plays
- Lead well completion optimization projects to enhance recovery rates by 15%+
- Conduct economic analysis and feasibility studies for new exploration ventures
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee field operations execution
- Collaborate with geoscience teams on integrated reservoir characterization
- Develop innovative water management strategies for hydraulic fracturing operations
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation for compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (Schlumberger Petrel, Eclipse)
- Strong understanding of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven track record in reducing operational costs while improving production
- Experience with digital oilfield technologies and IoT integration
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to present complex data to stakeholders
