Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to enhance hydrocarbon recovery
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in drilling/completion optimization projects
- Analyze production data to identify cost-reduction opportunities and efficiency gains
- Develop field development plans for unconventional resources (shale, tight gas)
- Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence within the department
- Collaborate with geoscience teams to integrate subsurface data into engineering solutions
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and industry regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, tNavigator)
- Proven track record in horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing optimization
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience working with offshore and unconventional assets
- Exceptional project management and leadership capabilities
