Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to optimize extraction techniques
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing field development plans for unconventional assets
- Analyze production data to identify cost-reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with geoscientists on seismic interpretation and well placement strategies
- Develop innovative solutions for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and carbon sequestration
- Maintain compliance with API standards and environmental regulations
- Mentor junior engineers through technical training and project oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., PETREL, Eclipse, CMG)
- Proven track record in horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing optimization
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production data analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Deep understanding of Permian Basin geological formations
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
