Responsibilities
- Lead reservoir simulation studies using advanced software (PETREL, Eclipse) to optimize recovery factors and production strategies
- Design and implement hydraulic fracturing programs for unconventional wells, incorporating real-time monitoring data
- Develop integrated production models combining geological, geophysical, and engineering data to identify bypassed pay zones
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production operators
- Prepare detailed well proposals, cost estimates, and economic evaluations for capital projects
- Monitor field performance data and recommend operational adjustments to enhance production efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical training sessions on emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
- 10+ years of upstream oil and gas experience with 5+ years in unconventional plays
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software and production optimization tools
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic fracturing mechanics and completions design
- Proven track record of improving recovery factors by 15%+ in complex reservoirs
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with DAS/DTS fiber optic monitoring systems
- Demonstrated ability to present technical findings to executive stakeholders
