Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (Petrel, Eclipse)
- Optimize well completions and hydraulic fracturing programs for shale plays
- Analyze production data to identify recovery enhancement opportunities
- Prepare detailed technical reports for regulatory compliance and investor presentations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of engineering deliverables
- Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling teams on field development plans
- Stay current with emerging technologies in digital oilfields and AI-driven analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Expertise in reservoir characterization and production forecasting
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software and data visualization tools
- Strong project management skills with proven track record of delivering complex projects
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs (shale, tight sands) is essential
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
