Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end People Operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
- Develop and implement scalable HR policies that align with federal and California state labor regulations.
- Partner with leadership to design and execute robust performance management and professional development frameworks.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Drive internal culture initiatives, including DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs and employee engagement surveys.
- Manage HRIS systems, leveraging data analytics to provide actionable insights on retention and headcount planning.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations and conflict resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HR Operations or People Business Partner roles, ideally in a fast-paced tech startup.
- Deep understanding of California labor law and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate sensitive employee relations with discretion.
- Proven track record of managing HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., Workday, Rippling, or BambooHR).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clear, empathetic messaging.
