Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive people strategies that align with company growth goals.
- Oversee end-to-end talent lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns with empathy and sound professional judgment.
- Collaborate with finance to manage payroll, benefits administration, and compensation benchmarking.
- Utilize HR analytics to provide actionable insights on retention, turnover, and engagement trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP or SPHR certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Generalist roles, ideally in a fast-paced tech startup environment.
- Deep understanding of California labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in modern HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Rippling, or BambooHR).
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.
- Proven track record of managing and scaling HR programs from the ground up.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting on key HR performance metrics.
