Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of 200+ employee distribution center, ensuring 99.9% on-time delivery performance
- Develop and implement process optimization strategies using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Manage $25M+ operational budget with rigorous cost-containment measures
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing WMS/TMS system upgrades
- Establish KPIs and analytics frameworks for operational performance tracking
- Coordinate disaster recovery protocols and business continuity planning
- Drive vendor management relationships for 3PL partnerships and service providers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in logistics operations management
- Proven expertise in Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in WMS/TMS platforms and data analytics tools
- Strong leadership background with team-building in unionized environments
- Demonstrated success in managing multimillion-dollar operational budgets
- Expertise in regulatory compliance (OSHA, FMCSA, ISO 9001)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex operational challenges
