Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term merchandising strategies that align with company objectives and market opportunities.
- Data Analysis: Interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to optimize product mix and pricing strategies.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage replenishment cycles, and minimize markdowns while maximizing sell-through rates.
- Vendor Relations: Negotiate terms with suppliers and manage relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior merchandisers and provide direction on product assortment and visual merchandising standards.
- KPI Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including margin, turnover, and gross profit.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable business decisions.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and managing P&L responsibilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
