- Inventory Management: Optimize stock levels to maximize turnover and minimize markdowns through accurate demand forecasting.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure quality and profitability.
- Market Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis of competitor activities and consumer behavior to identify new opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a team of buyers and planners, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with creative teams to ensure product presentation drives foot traffic and conversions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in retail merchandising or buying roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets to drive strategic decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting to C-level executives.
