Aura Luxury Retail Group is seeking a visionary Senior Merchandising Manager to lead our high-performance merchandising division in our flagship New York corporate office. In this role, you will define and execute end-to-end buying, inventory planning, and product placement strategies that elevate our brand presence and drive aggressive revenue growth across both physical boutiques and our premium e-commerce platform.
We are looking for a commercial powerhouse with an eye for luxury trends and a data-driven approach to retail analytics. You will collaborate closely with marketing, design, and supply chain teams to curate collections that captivate our discerning clientele, optimize sell-through rates, and maximize gross margin return on investment (GMROI).
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal merchandising strategies aligned with brand identity and financial targets.
- Analyze weekly sales performance, inventory levels, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities, optimize assortments, and mitigate markdown risks.
- Lead global sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management efforts to secure exclusive capsule collections and optimize margins.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising and e-commerce teams to ensure seamless storytelling and premium product presentation across all channels.
- Provide strategic direction and mentoring to a high-caliber team of associate merchandisers and replenishment analysts.
- Manage the open-to-buy (OTB) process and forecast consumer demand with high precision to ensure optimal stock levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in retail merchandising or buying, preferably in the luxury or contemporary fashion space.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar open-to-buy (OTB) budgets and driving measurable gross margin growth.
- Advanced analytical skills with mastery of retail math, inventory metrics, and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional executives.
- Agility to adapt to rapidly changing consumer trends and macro-economic retail environments.
