Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise strategies to maximize sales and margin within assigned categories.
- Analyze complex sales data, inventory turnover rates, and market trends to optimize stock levels and prevent stockouts.
- Collaborate closely with the Buying Team and Creative Directors to align product assortments with brand identity and seasonal trends.
- Manage the monthly P&L (Profit and Loss) statements, ensuring budget adherence and profitability targets are met.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of merchandise, from concept to shelf, ensuring visual standards are upheld.
- Lead and mentor a team of Merchandising Associates, fostering professional growth and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably within the fashion or lifestyle sector.
- Proven track record of managing a multi-million dollar budget and driving revenue growth.
- Proficiency in using retail management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable business plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
