Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise plans aligned with seasonal trends and sales targets
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to optimize inventory allocation
- Collaborate with buying teams to assortment planning, markdown strategies, and promotional calendars
- Monitor key performance metrics (sell-through, margins, inventory turnover) and adjust plans accordingly
- Lead cross-functional partnerships with marketing, operations, and visual merchandising teams
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms for replenishment and special buys
- Implement inventory management systems to minimize stockouts and overstock situations
- Present merchandise performance reports to senior leadership with actionable recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of merchandise planning experience in luxury or premium retail
- Advanced proficiency in retail planning tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets
- Expert knowledge of retail math concepts and inventory management principles
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and margin improvement
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
