Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans at the category and SKU level to meet sales and margin targets.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to provide actionable insights for future assortment strategies.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) processes, ensuring inventory levels align with sales velocity and business objectives.
- Collaborate with the buying team to optimize product assortments and identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor and report on weekly sales performance, proactively recommending markdowns or inventory rebalancing.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to align on inventory health and stock-to-sales ratios.
- Mentor junior planning staff and foster a culture of data-backed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software (e.g., Oracle Retail, JDA, or SAP).
- Strong understanding of retail math, including GMROI, sell-through, and inventory turnover.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategy through data visualization.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple seasonal projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in an omni-channel retail environment.
