Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end seasonal merchandise plans, financial targets, and open-to-buy (OTB) strategies to maximize sales and gross margin.
  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to generate highly accurate demand forecasts and inventory allocations.
  • Collaborate with Buying and Sourcing teams to curate optimized assortments, mitigating inventory risk while capitalizing on high-growth categories.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and seasonal business reviews, presenting key insights and markdown recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Optimize multi-channel inventory distribution (e-commerce and physical retail) to ensure optimal stock depth and turn rates.
  • Mentor and guide junior planners and allocation analysts to foster a high-performance, data-driven culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, or inventory management within apparel or luxury retail.
  • Advanced proficiency in retail math, Open-to-Buy (OTB) management, and financial forecasting.
  • Expert-level skills in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced modeling) and modern ERP/Planning software (e.g., Oracle Retail, SAP, or JDA).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable strategic narratives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
