Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal merchandise financial plans to meet sales, margin, and inventory goals.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to provide actionable insights for future assortment planning.
- Partner with the Buying team to translate brand strategy into balanced inventory investments across all channels.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) projections and provide monthly performance updates to senior leadership.
- Monitor inventory health, including sell-through analysis and aging stock mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize replenishment cycles and minimize stock-out risks.
- Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of data-informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with retail planning software (e.g., JDA, Oracle, SAP).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to tell a narrative through complex data sets.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of retail math, gross margin, and inventory turnover metrics.
