Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans for high-growth categories.
- Manage open-to-buy budgets and inventory lifecycle to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with Buying teams to translate market trends into actionable assortment strategies.
- Perform deep-dive analysis of SKU-level performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with supply chain and logistics to streamline markdown strategies and promotional calendars.
- Mentor junior analysts on forecasting best practices and data visualization techniques.
- Present quarterly business reviews to executive leadership to influence future buying cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert proficiency in Excel and advanced knowledge of retail ERP/planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex datasets into strategic insights.
- Proven track record of managing inventory for a multi-channel retail organization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
- Deep understanding of retail math, gross margin, and inventory turnover KPIs.
