Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology departments
- Validate and troubleshoot analytical procedures to ensure CLIA/CAP compliance
- Mentor junior technologists and implement quality control initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and improve testing protocols
- Train staff on new instrumentation and emerging diagnostic technologies
- Participate in CAP proficiency surveys and internal audits
- Contribute to process optimization for turnaround time reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related life science
- ASCP or equivalent certification required (MT, MLS, MLT)
- Minimum 5 years clinical laboratory experience
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two laboratory disciplines
- Strong knowledge of CAP/CLIA regulations and quality assurance
- Experience with LIS systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- CPR certification
