Responsibilities
- Design and execute cutting-edge genomic research studies using CRISPR, RNA-seq, and single-cell technologies
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in clinical trial protocol development and FDA submissions
- Analyze complex genomic datasets using Python/R and machine learning frameworks
- Present findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Cell)
- Secure $2M+ in NIH grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor postdoctoral fellows and junior scientists in lab techniques and research ethics
- Collaborate with biotech startups on commercialization of diagnostic biomarkers
Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field with 5+ years postdoctoral experience
- Proven track record of first-author publications in high-impact journals
- Expertise in NGS library prep, bioinformatics pipelines, and statistical analysis
- Strong familiarity with IRB protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Experience with grant writing and managing multi-center research consortia
- Certification in human subjects research (CITI Program)
- Proficiency in lab automation systems (Hamilton STAR, Beckman Coulter Biomek)
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional research teams
