Responsibilities
- Develop and implement oncology treatment protocols aligned with latest research standards
- Lead multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical research initiatives
- Mentor and supervise 25+ physicians and specialized medical staff
- Oversee $15M+ oncology department budget and resource allocation
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical partners on clinical trial development
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and oncology-specific accreditation standards
- Represent division in hospital executive committees and strategic planning
Qualifications
- MD/DO degree with board certification in Medical Oncology
- 10+ years progressive leadership experience in academic medicine
- Proven track record in developing oncology treatment programs
- Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
- FACOG/FACP designation or equivalent specialty recognition
- Research publication record in peer-reviewed oncology journals
- Experience with oncology EMR systems (Epic/Oracle preferred)
- Strong understanding of value-based care models and oncology economics
