Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for clinical prediction and disease risk stratification
- Analyze EHR, genomic, and real-world patient data using Python/R and SQL
- Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to translate medical requirements into data solutions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and healthcare data security protocols
- Lead research initiatives and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior data scientists and implement best practices in model validation
- Present findings to executive leadership and clinical leadership committees
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years experience
- Proven expertise in healthcare data analysis (EHR, claims, clinical trials)
- Strong programming skills in Python/R with experience in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Certification in HIPAA compliance and data privacy regulations
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and healthcare data warehousing
- Publications in medical informatics or computational biology
- Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
