Responsibilities
- Analyze multi-modal healthcare datasets (genomic, EHR, claims) to identify patterns predictive of treatment response
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for disease risk stratification and treatment optimization
- Collaborate with clinical teams to translate data insights into actionable clinical protocols
- Ensure HIPAA/GDPR compliance in all data handling processes and model deployments
- Lead cross-functional projects connecting data science with clinical research and product development
- Present findings to executive leadership and publish in peer-reviewed medical journals
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years healthcare data experience
- Expertise in Python/R, SQL, and statistical modeling (regression, survival analysis, ML algorithms)
- Proven track record with healthcare data (EHR, claims, genomic data)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11)
- Strong communication skills for presenting complex findings to clinical stakeholders
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Publications in medical informatics or bioinformatics preferred
