Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and analyze large-scale medical datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in patient care.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and Python scripts to support clinical research and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and stakeholders to translate data requirements into visual dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and data security protocols across all data handling processes.
- Design and implement data governance frameworks to improve data accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on data inputs to prevent errors in clinical documentation.
- Present findings to executive leadership to guide strategic decision-making regarding healthcare services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Nursing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical data analysis, healthcare analytics, or a related clinical role.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.), and regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITECH).
- Excellent analytical thinking with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
