Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for hospital operations.
- Conduct in-depth statistical analysis to identify trends in patient readmission rates, disease prevalence, and treatment efficacy.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal data security protocols during all data handling processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHR data with external research databases.
- Generate regular reporting for executive stakeholders, translating technical findings into clear, business-friendly narratives.
- Lead data audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and validity of medical records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related scientific field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in healthcare data analysis, epidemiology, or clinical research.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
