Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our elite team at Apex Dynamics. In this pivotal role, you will lead the mechanical design and development of cutting-edge robotics and automated systems. You will bridge the gap between theoretical engineering concepts and robust, production-ready prototypes. If you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and possess a passion for precision engineering, we want to hear from you.

Why Join Apex Dynamics?
We offer a competitive benefits package, including comprehensive health coverage, a 401(k) matching program, and continuous education opportunities. Work with the latest technologies and collaborate with industry leaders to shape the future of automation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping of complex automated machinery and robotic systems.
  • Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX) to create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models.
  • Conduct stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and thermal analysis to validate product integrity.
  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to mass production, ensuring adherence to strict timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to integrate mechanical systems with control logic.
  • Oversee testing protocols, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and implement design improvements based on field data.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the design review process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics, automation, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor) and FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, 3D Printing).
  • Proven track record of leading projects from concept through to production.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
