Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and development of robotics and automation systems.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and design optimization using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Collaborate closely with electrical engineers and software developers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Oversee the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs in a lab environment.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry safety standards (ISO, ANSI) and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, with a focus on robotics, automation, or consumer electronics.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
