Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation through production implementation
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and NX for complex assemblies
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechatronic systems
- Document technical specifications and create detailed engineering drawings per ASME standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques for next-gen product development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product development for automotive/aerospace industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and NX with proven portfolio of complex assemblies
- Strong analytical skills with experience in ANSYS simulation tools
- Deep understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, etc.)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional project teams
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems
