Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of turbine components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOM documentation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and tolerances
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Research and integrate advanced materials (composites, superalloys) into design solutions
- Ensure compliance with ASME standards and aerospace industry regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and GD&T methodologies
- Proven track record in FEA/CFD analysis for high-stress environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, casting, forging)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with DFMEA and design for manufacturability (DFM)
