Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of complex robotic sub-assemblies and machine structures.
- Conduct rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure component reliability and performance under stress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate seamlessly complex electromechanical systems.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and assembly documentation following GD&T standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct internal design reviews to ensure adherence to high-quality engineering benchmarks.
- Manage vendor relationships for rapid prototyping and mass-production sourcing.
- Iterate designs based on feedback from testing, field performance data, and manufacturing feasibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Proven track record in designing for high-volume manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, casting).
- Strong understanding of electromechanical integration, including motor selection, actuators, and sensor mounting.
- Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ASME standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
