Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems for automotive components
- Analyze thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics performance using FEA/CFD tools
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and quality control
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate emerging technologies into product designs
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including CAD models and engineering reports
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Interface with suppliers to source components and validate technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and automotive systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in leading complex mechanical projects from concept to production
- Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to optimize for performance, cost, and manufacturability
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
