Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of thermal management systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and CFD simulations to validate performance under extreme conditions
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T drawings, and test protocols
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure system integration and compliance
- Manage project timelines and mentor junior engineers through design reviews
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through DFM principles
- Stay current with industry standards (ISO 9001, ASME Y14.5) and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive or energy systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD tools
- Strong understanding of thermal dynamics and heat transfer principles
- Proven track record leading from concept to production
- Experience with rapid prototyping and testing methodologies
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligible for registration
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach
