Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping to production
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA for automotive components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with suppliers on material selection and manufacturing process optimization
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
- Present technical findings to executive stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of automotive experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in DFM/DFA methodologies and GD&T application
- Strong understanding of composite materials and lightweighting techniques
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with Agile project management and PLM systems
