Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept to implementation using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling for complex mechanical systems
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes with emphasis on lean principles
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system designs
- Conduct prototype testing and validation in ISO-certified laboratories
- Document technical specifications and create detailed engineering drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and technologies for competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CAD simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME standards, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
