Responsibilities
- Lead Design Initiatives: Spearhead the mechanical design process using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) to create robust and scalable prototypes.
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the transition from 3D modeling to physical prototyping, conducting rigorous stress tests and iterative testing cycles.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to ANSI, ISO, and ASTM standards, as well as internal quality assurance protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers to integrate systems seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of GD&T, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. Proficiency in ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar simulation tools.
- Software Skills: Expert-level command of CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and MS Office Suite.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement innovative solutions.
