Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and prototyping of automotive components using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronics and software
- Develop and implement testing protocols for durability and reliability validation
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and quality control
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development, automotive industry preferred
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with DOE methodologies and statistical process control
- Proven track record of bringing products from concept to mass production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
