Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop test protocols and validate designs through rigorous experimentation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Research emerging materials and technologies for aerospace applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA software suites
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, structural mechanics, and fluid dynamics
- Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
