Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace components using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance validation
- Develop test protocols and oversee prototyping in advanced manufacturing environments
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics and software
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and tolerance analysis (GD&T)
- Strong background in materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
