Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis and hydraulic modeling using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads
- Manage project lifecycle from conception through construction oversight and quality assurance
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of architects, environmental specialists, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and international building codes
- Develop sustainable solutions using BIM technology and green infrastructure principles
- Present technical proposals to municipal planning committees and key stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation or water resources engineering
- Proficiency in advanced hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) and geotechnical software
- Proven track record managing projects >$10M with successful delivery
- Expertise in FEMA floodplain analysis and stormwater management systems
- LEED AP BD+C certification preferred
- Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and regulatory compliance
