Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of advanced propulsion components using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct FEA simulations and thermal analysis for high-stress aerospace environments
- Develop test protocols and validate mechanical systems in lab and field conditions
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining project timelines and budget constraints
- Collaborate with procurement to source specialized materials and components
- Generate technical documentation and patent disclosures for innovations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in project management (PMP or similar) highly valued
- Experience with DO-160 qualification standards for aerospace components
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical projects
