Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex systems using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX.
- Perform detailed stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure component durability and safety.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions for manufacturing.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, analyzing data to validate design performance and iterate improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the design review process.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and reduce time-to-market.
- Adhere to strict industry standards, including ISO, ASTM, and ANSI guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or robotics industry.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor) and 2D drafting tools.
- Strong working knowledge of FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and GD&T standards.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept to production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
