Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production, utilizing CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation to validate design integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance
- Create detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test protocols
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation software
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of bringing complex mechanical systems to production
- Experience with automotive or heavy machinery industries highly desirable
- PMP certification or project management experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
