Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop innovative solutions for complex manufacturing challenges in aerospace/automotive sectors
- Conduct FEA simulations and physical prototyping for validation
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with vendors for component sourcing and manufacturing process optimization
- Ensure compliance with ASME/ISO standards and safety regulations
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product design and development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and finite element analysis
- Proven track record of bringing complex mechanical systems to production
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
