Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and CATIA.
  • Conduct advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to validate structural and thermal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic and software components into mechanical housings.
  • Manage the creation of detailed engineering drawings and documentation applying strict GD&T standards.
  • Oversee prototype fabrication and execute rigorous testing protocols to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight on high-stakes design reviews.
  • Liaise with manufacturing partners to optimize Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive or aerospace.
  • Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and PLM software environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with high-precision manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, and casting.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget constraints.
