Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and CATIA.
- Conduct advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to validate structural and thermal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic and software components into mechanical housings.
- Manage the creation of detailed engineering drawings and documentation applying strict GD&T standards.
- Oversee prototype fabrication and execute rigorous testing protocols to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight on high-stakes design reviews.
- Liaise with manufacturing partners to optimize Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and PLM software environments.
- Demonstrated experience with high-precision manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, and casting.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget constraints.
