Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototype using SolidWorks and NX CAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for structural integrity
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for cost-effective production
- Develop test protocols and validate prototypes through rigorous experimentation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies for competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and DFM principles
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
